Terms of Service

By accessing or using Sentinel ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including developers integrating the SDK and administrators managing the dashboard. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Sentinel. "You" refers to the individual or entity using the Service.

Sentinel is an AI agent observability and accountability platform. It provides a software development kit (SDK) for Python and Node.js, a web dashboard, and a backend API that together allow you to log, monitor, and audit the actions of AI agents running in your infrastructure.

The Service includes event logging, session trace views, an immutable hash-chained audit log, flag and review workflows, and PDF audit report generation.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization. By creating an account, you represent that this is the case.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and dashboard credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@trysentinelagent.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

One account per organization. You may not create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• —Log data you do not have the right to collect or process
• —Transmit personally identifiable information about individuals without appropriate consent
• —Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
• —Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or its infrastructure
• —Circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or authentication mechanisms
• —Use the Service in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• —Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions, with or without notice.

Sentinel offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Plan details, pricing, and included usage limits are published on the pricing page at trysentinelagent.com/#pricing.

Free plan. The Free plan includes a limited number of events per month. Events logged beyond the free limit may be dropped. We do not guarantee delivery of events that exceed the plan limit.

Pro plan. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. A 14-day free trial is available for new Pro subscribers — no payment is collected until the trial ends.

Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you cancel mid-period, your access continues until the end of the billing period.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You retain ownership of the event data you send to Sentinel. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data included in event payloads is collected and processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where applicable. Sentinel automatically strips common LLM I/O fields (prompt, completion, content, messages, text) from event payloads before storage, but this does not substitute for your own data minimisation obligations.

The Sentinel platform, including its dashboard, API, and SDKs, is owned by us. The open-source SDKs are released under the MIT licence — see the respective repositories for details.

You retain all rights to the agent code, event payloads, and outputs you generate using the Service. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your intellectual property to us.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all events will be captured and stored. The audit log is designed to be tamper-evident but is not a substitute for your own data governance practices.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@trysentinelagent.com. Termination cancels any active Pro subscription at the end of the current billing period.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
